TANNING TECHNOLOGY
THE ENTICING CONCEPT OF DRAPE IN LEATHER PAIRING LIGHTNESS IN WEIGHT WITH HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH AND RESISTANCE TO TEAR. A BOLD LEATHER WITH A SUBTLE SHEEN THAT FLOWS WITH UTMOST SOFTNESS.
Bovine leather, made from the skin of steers, is known for a consistency in grain and weight throughout the hide. The compact, fine structure and natural grain contributes to a higher tensile strength and resistance to tear. Femme Lite is a firm, full bodied and round leather to touch, without heaviness in weight.
The concept of drape exists in close relationship to the substance and weight of leather. Femme Lite offers lightness in weight with a substance between 0,7mm and 0,9 mm. The tendency to smoothly follow form is one of the most significant characte-ristics of leather that is ultimately suitable for soft goods and garments. The softness of Femme Lite allows a natural flow and movement, which contri-butes to the comfort of wear.
The applied technique that defines the softness of Femme Lite is called Ultra-Soft Technology, or UST. Utilizing tomorrow’s technology today, Ultra-Soft Technology challenges the status quo by exploring the perfect combination of applied softness and round bodied handle in a thin yet very strong leather.
A subtle gloss sheen maintains the visibility of the leather’s fine grain, allowing another emphasize of its smooth and drapey character.
