To celebrate the launch of 1017 ALYX 9SM in Toronto, Matthew Williams invited ECCO Leather to host a masterclass and exposition at HXOUSE.

HXOUSE is a Toronto-based, international platform focused on innovation and creating opportunities for future creative entrepreneurs.

The installation, as part of the two day conference existed out of multiple workshops and talks, highlighting the closest collaborators behind 1017 ALYX 9SM.
 
The series of workshops and panel talks were mainly focused on how to be more conscious when building your own brand and the tools that could be used to be more
environmental friendly.

The ECCO Leather workshop was setup in a threefold program, explaining the history of leather making, the way it has revolutionized the garment industry, and how it has
been re-introduced to fashion.

Highlights included how to incorporate leather in unconventional designs and how to conceptualize ideas when working with a durable material.
